Sunflower addresses father wounds and deals with issues surrounding authority. When there is a lack of relationship with our father, it can create insecurity and self-esteem issues, where there is a need to convince others of our value. It balances the tendency to operate out of  insecurity and behind pride. Just as sunflower deals with our perception of our earthly father, it also deals with projections we put on God, and our ability to receive from him.
